Dirtyphonics selected for multiple Grammy Awards Nominations
Dirtyphonics are already renowned for their blending of high-value production styles and live presence. But this is now being officially recognised through their recent selection for Grammy nominations, which sees them featured in not only one, but two categories.
Their debut full-length album "Irreverence" sees itself up against other pronounced artists within the "Best Electronic Album" category. It's an album which penned "a new playbook for the genre", and it's sure to create some tight competition against the other acts. There's not one genre which isn't cross-pollinated throughout the LP, and it features some of the most bass driven records released in 2013. Their selection for Grammy nomination only emphasises this fact.
The second category which the quartet has appeared in is "Best Electronic Record of the Year". Again, this isn't just one track nominated, but a number of them, including "DIRTY", "No Stopping Us" and guitar ladened heavy-hitter "Walk in the Fire". With each record being of the same outstanding calibre, it's difficult to see how the tracks will contend with eachother, let alone the other nominees.
Dirtyphonics have been responsible for many of AudioPorn's biggest releases to date. "French Fuck", their first single unleashed through AudioPorn quickly climbed the charts and has set the label's standards for years to come. Furthermore, "Vandals" quickly became an anthem of the genre, having held the number one spot on Beatport's all-time drum and bass classics chart. The AudioPorn family are very proud to see one of our own gaining much deserved recognition as one of the most versatile collectives in the bass scene.
